The Rawson Property Group has recently announced the consolidation of their Brackenfell and Kraaifontein franchises as former franchisee, Alexander Andre Swart, bids an official farewell to the brand.
“Mr Swart has been an excellent and innovative franchisee, and has done great work in Kraaifontein and Brackenfell over the last few years,” says Wayne Albutt, the Rawson Property Group’s Western Cape Regional Sales Manager.
As for Swart’s former franchises, Albutt unveils exciting plans in the works that will ensure Rawson customers in Brackenfell and Kraaifontein continue to receive the same market-leading service associated with the brand.
“The Rawson Property Group has invested a lot of time and effort into building our presence in these territories, and we’re very proud of the fact that almost half the properties bought and sold in Brackenfell are guided by Rawson hands,” he says. “While some agents have followed Mr Swart to his new venture, many of our top performers have chosen to remain under the Rawson banner and will form the backbone of our new, consolidated franchise.”
In a ground-breaking and unprecedented decision, this will be the first ever Rawson franchise to be run directly by the Rawson Property Group – a decision that was not made lightly, as Albutt reveals.
“One of the things that makes the Rawson Property Group unique is the fact that we don’t run any franchises ourselves,” he explains. “This allows us to focus our efforts purely on our franchisees, rather than dividing our attention between our own territories and theirs.
“In the case of Brackenfell and Kraaifontein, however, we felt that it was important for our agents’ sake to take some time to re-establish a more traditional Rawson franchise environment. We also owe it to the excellent work our people have done in the area to find them the best possible franchisee to take the reins. To allow us to do this effectively, we’ve consolidated the former Brackenfell and Kraaifonteinfranchises into one, independent franchise, to be run – by the Rawson Property Group.”
At present, the new franchise (located at 63 Protea Road in Brackenfell Heights) has 9 fulltime agents, with another 3 starting next month, and is planning on increasing their staff complement to a total of 22 in the near future. Agents in the area who are interested in joining the team are encouraged to get in touch with Wayne Albutt at the Rawson Property Group’s Cape Town Head Office.
As for performance, the franchise is already on target, having sold 9 properties and secured over 30 mandates within 3 weeks of opening their doors. This, says Albutt, is a clear indication of the trust and reputation the Rawson brand and its agents have developed over years of service in the area.
“Relationship-building is at the core of the Rawson approach to real-estate, and it’s an attitude we will continue to cultivate moving forward at our new franchise. We’re extremely pleased to see that our team remains the go-to neighbourhood expert within the Brackenfell and Kraaifontein communities, and we look forward to building on this trust and confidence with many more years of true, Rawson service.”
