By the end of June almost all 84 units in Rawson Developers Rivers Edge will have been occupied. Handovers will commence mid-June.
What is more, says Trevor Weston-Green, Rawson Developers marketing manager and strategist, all 84 units are now sold '“ the last on the unsold list was signed for a fortnight ago.
A high percentage of the owners, he said, are buy-to-rent investors and to serve them Rawsons have set up a specialist letting team to manage the leases here. This is under the control of Sharon McNab who can be contacted on 021 658 7100.
The one bedroom units in the development, which sold from R799 000, are able to attract rents from R5 000 per month while those with two bedrooms, which sold from R1,2 million, are renting out from R7 500 per month.
Weston-Green said that Rawson Developers directors had planned originally to keep six units for themselves but had 'given in' to demand from would-be buyers when stock ran out.
'No one as yet has, I think, fully appreciated what a remarkable feat it is to sell out a scheme of this size before completion in todays market,' said Weston-Green, 'but it is now clear from buyers comments that Rivers Edges position, its beautiful views of the mountain (from all floors) and its tight security have all made it highly acceptable'
On the north-west side, he said, the views take in Devils Peak and Table Mountain.
