You know property in the Blaauwberg area is booming when a property marketing franchise, within a group with a country wide footprint, takes thirteen prizes in the national end-of-year competition.
“This should,” says Tony Clarke, Managing Director of the Rawson Property Group, “be a signal to the general public that, not only is the franchise highly motivated and efficient, but also the areas in which they are operating is experiencing near-boom conditions.”
“The Rawson Property Group’s Blaauwberg franchise did in fact take home an impressive number of prizes at the group’s annual prize giving in December. The franchisee, Mike Abrahamse, collecting three prizes in his personal capacity, and the newly formed Blaauwberg commercial franchise and Abrahamse’s co-franchisee, Gary Vos, taking home two prizes. The franchise’s top selling agent, Adele Werth, collected five awards in all.”
At the end of January, Abrahamse reported that his franchise’s turnover was year-on-year 48% up and that on average his Blaauwberg team of 16 agents had sold 22 units per month in 2014. In the national fees earned competition, the Blaauwberg agents were ranked second in the southern region and fourth nationally, out of 220 Rawson franchises.
Abrahamse said that there are no signs that the demand is likely to drop off and he predicts that prices this year will across the board continue to rise by 11% per annum.
