Rawson Auctions Western Cape are becoming increasingly well-known in Somerset West, which, says Tanya Jovanovski, co-franchisee for Rawson Auctions in the Western Cape, is “gratifying”.
Jovanovski is returning this month to the High Riding Country Estates where she has been given two mandates — the first for the auctioning of a 20,461 m2 plot and the second for a 8,424 m2 plot. The first plot is nearly triple the size of an average plot in the estate.
High Riding Country Estates is on the Old Sir Lowry’s Pass Road and is in close proximity to centre of Somerset West.
The estate, said Jovanovski, is exceptionally secure, ideal for horse lovers and provides a wonderful playground for children. To date, most of the plots have been sold and the prices achieved have varied from R1,9 million to R2,9 million.
The reserve price for the 8,424 m2 plot has been set at R650 000 and the 20,461 m2 plot’s reserve price is available on application.
The terms on which Rawson Auctions operate are:
· A 5% deposit to be paid on the fall of the hammer
· A 10% commission plus VAT to be paid over and above the agreed price to Rawson Auctions, also payable on the fall of the hammer.
Jovanovski has pointed out that the Consumer Protection Act regulations stipulate that all bidders must be registered and that they bring certificated copies of their identity documents and proof of residence. However, she said, Rawson Auctions do not charge any registration fee to bidders.
