Blogs we love this month

It’s a new year. And, so, time for new inspiration. Check out our fave design and décor blogs that’ll give you fresh ideas for your home in 2017.

My Scandinavian Home

If there’s ever a time we wish we could climb through our computer/tablet screens to live in the digital pages of a blog, My Scandinavian Home will be it. Think: modern, clean, sleek, simple and well designed home décor and design items that one would imagine a, well, Scandinavian home would look like (in other words: if you love the idea of Ikea, we have a feeling you’ll love this blog…).

This local blog needs to be bookmarked if you love decorating, have kids, enjoy hosting dinner parties and/or if you love a good DIY project – because there are plenty of ideas here to get your design and decor mind running wild! We also love the online shop where you can purchase some of the items mentioned on the blog. Simply lovely!

The Designer Man Cave

Sydney-based interior designer Kate Abdou’s – who has built a reputation for designing and improving home and office spaces to suit men – blog oozes masculinity: it’s the perfect place to find ideas on how to give your home or office a bit more of a manly feel. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a guy in need of inspiration or a girl who’s married to/living with a guy – you simply, click on over!

Kim Gray

Stylist turned blogger Kim Gray is undoubtedly one of the cool kids when it gets to home décor and design. Needless to say, that her blog is a must-follow, especially if you’re looking for beautiful yet affordable local and international décor product. She also has the occasional giveaway, which makes following her blog even more rewarding.

Design Indaba

Renowned for their annual local creative conference where some of the world’s best designers and trend forecasters (including Li Edelkoort) has spoken, Design Indaba’s website-meet-blog is where future home, industrial and fashion design inspiration lives.  We also love that the blog provides substance (think: good, thought-provoking reads) on various design topics.
