Rawson offers prize to cash-strapped consumers

News

Rawson Properties have negotiated a sponsorship deal with the SuperSport Channel for the duration of the Tri-Nations Rugby Tournament. The Rawson Property Group is sponsoring the in-studio SMS competition during the build-up to all the Springbok matches with a grand prize of R100 000 in cash.

Spending the Prize Wisely

According to Bill Rawson Properties Managing Director, Tony Clarke, the Group would ideally like this money to be put towards paying off a home loan. 'We have spoken about the advantages of extra bond repayments as an excellent saving mechanism, but this cash prize can also be used towards improving your current home or settling other large debts' Another option would be for first time property buyers to use the cash reward as a deposit for their first home, says Rawsons Clarke. 'There hasnt been such a good time to buy in years '“ as we are now quite firmly in a buyers market. Many of our investors, encouraged by the higher rentals now obtainable, realise that this is a good time to buy and those who have watched the market carefully are making full use of the excellent deals now available' Clarke explains that this television competition sponsorship is a first for the Rawson Property Group. 'This is the first time that we are using television as an advertising medium. We decided that the timing for a competition that gives something back to the consumer is perfect, as most of our clients are feeling the pinch of the rising interest rates and tougher economic climate'
