Rawson Properties once again manned the refreshment station at the top of Suikerbossie hill for the 30th Cape Argus Pick '˜n Pay Cycle Tour.
More than 30 000 cyclists took part in the popular event, held in Cape Town yesterday, and was hailed a roaring success by all involved.
Suikerbossie Hill is regarded as the most formidable hill of the race by cyclists, and once conquered, it leaves them with only 18km to go to the finish line at Green Point Stadium.
The 40-strong Rawson team provided refreshment and encouragement to tired cyclists, whilst also contributing to the festive atmosphere with great music and dancing.
This year Rawson covered Suikerbossie in yellow, with around 20 branded vehicles parked along the side of the road. The Rawson team was also dressed in yellow, with yellow Rawson banners signaling the top of the hill for cyclists.
Congratulations to our Chairman, Bill Rawson, for completing the race in 4hours and 3 minutes, as well as the rest of our Rawson cycling team on excellent races.
This was the second time that Rawson Properties manned Suikerbossie and the Group hopes to make it an annual tradition!
