Rawson Auctions’ multiple auction scheduled for 12 noon on 24th July (in the Rawson Property Group’s head office at 222 Main Road, Rondebosch, Cape Town) will be offering an untenanted warehouse on a 3851 m2 site for sale. The property has a large yard area and space behind the warehouse to build additional offices if required.
This building, says Tanya Jovanovski, the Rawson Auctions’ co-franchisee for the Western Cape, is one of the best positioned properties her team has handled for some time. Being in Maitland, she says, it has easy quick access to the railway station, the airport, the harbour, the Cape Town CBD and it also links quickly and without difficulty to all Cape Town’s major freeways. The warehouse is situated opposite the Freddie Hirsch Building — a popular landmark in the area.
The warehouse for sale, says Jovanovski, is double volume and is zoned for mixed use. The premises have 50 amp electricity.
Bids are expected to start at R7 million.
Rawson Auctions do not charge a bidder’s registration fee, but the accepted bidder has to pay 5% of the purchase price on the fall of the hammer and 10% commission plus VAT over and above the purchase price to the auctioneers. This fee is also due on the fall of the hammer.
