A property consisting of three units will be auctioned by Rawson Auctions on the 23rd of October, says Tanya Jovanovski, co-franchisee for Rawson Auctions in the Western Cape.
The property, she says, has been divided into three separate units, one of which could be subdivided into two smaller units and the double garage could also be converted into living space.
The main house has four bedrooms, a lounge, kitchen, laundry, bathroom and the previously mentioned double garage. The second unit, which is a small flatlet, has one bedroom and an open-plan kitchen and lounge. The third unit has two bedrooms, a sunken lounge, a bathroom and a fully fitted kitchen.
This property, she added, also has ample parking and is close to all amenities.
“Property in Bellville South,” said Jovanovski, “is always in demand due to it being a university town. This particular unit would be ideal for students studying at the University of the Western Cape as it is only 4,2 km away.”
The auction will take place at 12 noon on the 23rd of October at the Rawson Property Group’s head office at 222 Main Road, Rondebosch. Jovanovski recommends that bids should start at R800,000 — however, this is part of a deceased estate and all offers will be reviewed.
The Consumer Protection Act regulations stipulate that all bidders be registered and that they bring certified copies of their identity documents and proof of residence along to the auction. Rawson Auctions have not asked bidders to pay an auction fee, but their terms and conditions insist on a 5% deposit on the purchase price and a 10% auctioneer’s commission, plus VAT, to be paid on the fall of the hammer.
