And, if you’re eager to keep your home up to date with the latest style, then we have some good news: you don’t need a complete home overhaul or Gwyneth Paltrow’s style (or budget) to do so. Cushions** Add a bit of sunshine or earthiness to a neutral space (like your lounge or bedroom) by adding throw pillows or scatter cushions in yellow or green. Avoid solid green or yellow colours; instead, pick ones that feature patterns of yellow and green – this will help create depth and give your home a luxe feel. **2.  Lamps ** We love lamps. No, seriously… We LOVE lamps! Because the soft light they emit can add so much depth to a room. It’s also a smart way to bring colour into your lounge, dining room or bedroom. Add a solid coloured green or yellow lamp base with a neutral shade or a neutral base with a green or yellow shade – the lamp is bound to pop out and brighten up your room (especially if the rest of it is quite neutral).   **3. Throws and towels ** Throws on a bed or couch, or fresh towels in a bathroom are some of the easiest, cost-effective ways to bring yellow or green in to your home. Remember to always opt for something that’s patterned in green or yellow to add to your bed or couch; if you’re going to opt for a solid colour, choose something that’s textured – it’ll will help add a luxe-layered effect to your home. **4. Plants and flowers ** Seems obvious, right? And it’s pretty cost-effective too! Potted evergreen plants, such as a Delicious Monster or Rubber Tree, or – for those who don’t have any green fingers – succulents can instantly brighten up your home and give it that desired green look and feel. If you’re after yellow, why not buy yellow flowers on a bi-weekly basis to display in your dining room? We love yellow roses, yellow daisies and tulips. **5. Rugs and mats ** Adding a pop of colour to a room is really as easy as laying down a rug or mat that features shades of green or yellow. The same principle applies with throw pillows: where possible, avoid a solid colour; rather go for a subtle yellow or green patterned one that’ll add depth and richness to your room. **6. Accessories ** Home accessories such as candleholders, vases, clocks, coasters and so on are easy ways to bring glorious green and fabulous yellow into any room.
