The news that New World Wealth, an international rating agency that ranks top-of-the-range housing developments for high net worth individuals and their clients, has selected the Pearl Valley Golf and Country Estate as the leading residential estate in South Africa, was particularly pleasing to the Rawson Property Group’s Paarl agents serving this area because they now have four Pearl Valley homes listed for sale in the estate.
These homes, most of which have three to five bedrooms, are priced at R 3 200 000, R 4 500 000, R 5 500 000 and R 7 500 000. Joubert said that in making their rankings New World Wealth had, according to reports, paid considerable attention not just to the quality and design of the homes, the communal facilities and the landscaped areas but also to the all-important questions, “Does this estate offer value for money?” and “Do the homes here have genuine potential?” The fact that Pearl Valley came up tops in this survey, with the judges applying realistic criteria, said Joubert, should commend it to potential buyers as never before.
Among the good points about Pearl Valley said to have influenced the New World Wealth judges, added Joubert, were:
- All the stands here are satisfactorily large and on the whole spaced well apart.
- The site on the banks of the Berg River, with many of the golf course’s water traps and streams fed by it, make it quite exceptionally beautiful.
- The Jack Nicklaus designed signature golf course is one of the best in Africa and is in excellent condition.
- The facilities of the estate, which include a spa, a pro shop, a restaurant and a bar as well as an equestrian centre, walking trails and fishing spots, are well up to international standards.
- The security of the estate is ranked by many in the top 5% of all South African properties.
“When one comes to sell homes of this quality and size,” said Joubert, “there is always some hesitation about the very large outlay involved, but I think we can be encouraged by New World Wealth’s assessment that Pearl Valley is now not only attractive and in exceptionally good condition but also by their assessment, is a viable investment.”
