Secure central Wynberg apartment to be auctioned on 28th November

Wynberg middle and upper bracket apartments have proved to be one of the best investments that a property investor can make, says Tanya Jovanovski, Western Cape franchisee for Rawson Auctions.

“Every time we have brought one of these units to the market,” says Jovanovski, “we have seen it realize good prices and, if rented out, achieve a 7 to 10% return from the outset.  Wynberg’s central position and good amenities make it an ideal commuters’ precinct.”

This being the case, she says, investors should be showing a special interest in a 76 m2 two bedroom apartment with a separate toilet, bathroom and a well-sized kitchen.  This apartment is sited in the Egham Hof block, which is just behind Maynard Mall and therefore close to the heart of Wynberg.

The property, says Jovanovski, commands a rental of R3, 200 per month and it will be vacant on transfer.

The bonus points in this unit’s favour, she adds, are that it has an enclosed garage and the Egham Hof block is secure and access is controlled by remotes.

Jovanovski says that bids are expected to start in the region of R500, 000.

Rawson Auctions require a 5% deposit be paid on the fall of the hammer and the auctioneers’ 10% commission to be paid at the same time.

This auction will take place at 12 noon and will be one of the first at Rawson Auctions’ new offices  – 126 Main Road, Diep River – opposite the clothing factory shop Meltz.
