Celebrating Christmas but not too sure what to do about a tree? No matter the size of your
space, there’s an option for you. Many people are buying or dressing up an existing indoor potted plant with handmade decorations. We are also seeing trees made from foraged driftwood and wire, A-frames made from wood off-cuts that are decked with ornaments, as well as wall trees. Wall trees are simple and so eco-friendly. They are constructed on a wall or a flat surface using whatever you have lying around – craft paper, fairy lights, photographs, sequins, handmade pom poms and tinsel. A big influence this year has been Bridgerton-inspired decadence. Think elegance and ornate detailing. The best way to achieve this is to haul out your vintage decorations, use the cutlery or crockery that is usually packed away or visit some of your local antique or charity shops. Floral patterns or animal baubles and tablescapes using found foliage can also take your decorating to the next level. Add natural textures, such as wood, wool, linen and hessian, along with handmade festive-themed items to create a wonderful ambience.
